When can I access my storage unit located in the four floor warehouse?
You can access the four story warehouse and your storage unit during regular business hours: M-F 9-5, Sat 9-3, CLOSED SUNDAYS.
Is the warehouse open on Sundays?
No it is not. Warehouse storage units are only accessible during regular business hours: M-F 9-5, Sat 9-3, CLOSED SUNDAYS. Garage style, drive up units are accessible 24/7/365.
Are you closed certain Holidays?
56 Self Storage Center is closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Warehouse storage units are not accessible these holidays. Garage style, drive up storage units are accessible 24/7/365.
How do I move things into and out of my storage unit in the four story warehouse?
There are 3 outside loading docks to the warehouse and a freight elevator.
One of the loading docks is located on the second floor and is accessible by vehicle by way of Grove St. People are not allowed to ride the freight elevator but you may load your belongings onto it and get it to whichever of the upper floors your storage unit is located.
There are multiple carts on wheels available to use throughout the warehouse, to move your items safely.
Who will have access to my storage unit?
You, the account holder will have access and anyone you choose to give a key and access to your unit. 56 Self Storage Center will not give permission to access to someone who is not the account holder without the account holder's permission. 56 Self Storage Center will not cut off an account holder's lock for someone who is not the account holder, unless account holder gives 56 Self Storage Center permission to do so.
Is there a charge to cut off my storage unit padlock if I lose my key?
There is a $10.00 fee for cutting off a lock with the 56 Self Storage Center Lock Cutter.
A fee of $20.00 if a grinder or drill is needed.
When is rent due?
Rent for storage units is due the first of each month.
*If you begin renting a unit sometime after the first of a month, you'll pay pro-rated rent for the current month and a security deposit, then your next rent is due the first of the next month.
*Unless you rent within 7 days of the end of a month in which case you'll pay the pro-rated rent for the current month, a security deposit and a full month's rent for the next month.
Can I rent a unit Month to Month or is there a Long Term Contract required?
There is no Long Term Contract required, however, 56 Self Storage Center reserves the right to collect and retain at least one month's rental amount.
How do I get my security deposit refunded?
Notify the office staff by phone, in person or by email (
email@example.com) that you have emptied the storage unit and no longer wish to rent it.
Completely empty the unit (no trash or debris or any items left for 56 Self Storage Center to remove).
Sweep the unit.
Verify with office staff correct mailing address to send the security deposit refund check to you via US MAIL.
What happens if I fall behind in my rent?
Rent is due on the first of each month.
• The first of three possible late fees in any month is applied on the 6th of the delinquent month at 9am.
• This late fee varies depending on size and monthly rent of that unit.
• An over lock is placed on the unit restricting access to the unit on the 6th of the delinquent month.
• The second late fee is applied on the 21st of the delinquent month: $12.00
• The third late fee is applied on the last day of the delinquent month: $25.00
What payment options are in place to pay my rent?
Pay online here - PAY NOW (Renter must have email address on account for this payment option).
• Send check/money order via US Mail with name and unit # referenced on check/money order.
• Drop payment through Mail Slot of Office front door at 56 Self Storage Center.
• Call in a payment: M-F 9-5, Sat 9-3 (603)742-4422.
• Set Up AUTO PAY which withdraws monthly rent electronically from debit or credit card.
• Payment is withdrawn on the first of each month.
• Pre-Pay and receive discounts: 3 month pre-pay: 5% off each month, 6 month pre-pay: 10% off each month, 12 month pre-pay: 15% off each month.
